When I first started losing weight, one of the first things I learned was to read the labels on food. It can be astonishing how many calories are per serving. I still look at the labels and decide if it is worth the calories. Counting your calories is a key factor to weight loss. I will not eat some of the foods I used to love. They are not worth the calories.
